Dr. Lee Blankenship (Dr. “Lee” to us) was proudly born and raised right here in Holly Springs, NC. He graduated from NC State University with a degree in microbiology and then transferred to Kansas State University for his DVM degree. After graduating in 2016, he completed an intense 1-year rotating internship at North Houston Veterinary Specialty Hospital focusing on emergency care, internal medicine, oncology and radiology. He then moved back to North Carolina to work in an ER setting for several years. Though he found emergency medicine rewarding, Dr. Lee ultimately sought out general practice to fulfill his goals as a veterinarian of developing long-lasting relationships with patients and their owners. Although Dr. Lee enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, he particularly enjoys ultrasound and dentistry. Dr. Lee has two dogs, Professor and Dior, and a cat named Minnie. When not working hard at HBAH, Dr. Lee is an outdoor enthusiast and enjoys hiking with his wife, Carrie, and their twins Miles and Lily, and working in the family garden.
